We’re excited to announce that Camden Community Wealth Fund’s £2million Youth Fund is open for applications. In case you’re not familiar with it, Camden Community Wealth Fund will invest in local businesses in two ways:
- The Youth Fund will invest £2m in businesses empowering young people. This will help us achieve our Youth Mission. Applications are open now!
- The Diversity Fund will invest £2m in local businesses run by a diverse group of people. This will help us achieve our Diversity Mission. Applications will open in 2026.

How to apply to the fund
Businesses can apply to the Youth Fund for a repayable loan ranging from £20,000 to £500,000 to grow their business if it meaningfully empowers young people in any of the following ways:
- Diversity and inclusion initiatives – e.g. inclusive recruitment policies or anti-racism training
- Confidence and skills building – e.g. training, tutoring, apprenticeships or mentoring
- Mental health and wellbeing support – e.g. providing young people with space and community to improve their mental health and wellbeing
If your business is based outside Camden, you can apply as long as you’re working with, or planning to work with, young people in our borough.
To be eligible you need to be established as a company, a Community Interest Company (CIC) or a charitable organisation, and you must be generating revenue already.
To apply for investment, complete the application form at CamdenCommunityWealthFund.co.uk/youth-fund. It takes about 20 minutes to apply. We’ll ask you for certain information – including your revenue, business plan and details of how you empower young people – so make sure you have that ready.
Applications close at 12pm on 30 September and we’ll be reviewing applications throughout this period.
Help and support to apply
Applying for investment isn’t always easy so if you have any questions, need any reasonable adjustment requests, or need a hand to apply, email the team at CommunityWealthFund@camden.gov.uk.
We’re also running a few online and in-person drop-in support sessions where you can come and ask questions and get support.

Our decision-making process and commitment to involving local people
We will be formally assessing each application and Camden Community Wealth Fund’s fantastic Youth Panel members will play a significant part in that process. Our Youth Panel are a diverse group of 15 young people who live, work or study in Camden. They have been working with us since January to help us shape the Youth Fund – and they will be reviewing every application to help us decide who receives investment. Every decision they help to make is guided by their vision for a fairer, more inclusive local economy that works for young people now and in the future.
