The We Make Camden Kit

Extraordinary things happen when Camden’s residents are empowered to lead change in their communities. That’s what inspired the We Make Camden Kit.

You know your local area best and what it needs. The We Make Camden Kit can give you the tools and funding to run a project that drives the We Make Camden Missions forward and improve life in the borough.

Funding and support available

The Kit is run by charity partner, Camden Giving. Their team will support you through your funding journey every step of the way and help you to bring your ideas to life.

The Kit provides:

  • Seed grants of up to £2,000 to kick-start a new idea to get it off the ground
  • Growth grants of up to £5,000 to expand an existing initiative
  • Tailored guidance, training and drop-in sessions with Camden Giving
  • Safeguarding training
  • Full insurance and a project bank account
  • Access to a growing network of grantees leading their own initiatives

How to apply

The Kit is available to Camden residents, community groups and small charities whose projects contribute to the We Make Camden Missions:

  • Healthy estates
  • Access to food
  • Diversity in leadership
  • Opportunities for young people

Applications are open all year round and decisions on which funding proposals are successful are made by a panel of Camden residents from different backgrounds and from across the borough.
