Boy receiving medal at United cricket club

“My name is Shakeel and I live in Camden. I’ve been playing cricket for more than 6 years at Regent’s Park and really enjoy it. I was invited to bring my younger siblings to United Sporting Club, so they can also learn the sport and hopefully enjoy it as much as I do.

My siblings, Affan (8) and Yousra (6) have now been playing cricket for 2 years. They both really enjoy all the activities such as batting and fielding, and have made new friends. Since taking part in the programme they have started to play cricket against other teams, winning certificates and medals and they can’t wait for the next event.

If you are interested in having fun and learning a new sport, I would encourage you to try cricket.”

About United Sporting Club: In 2010, a handful of dedicated volunteers with a passion for sports began a Cricket team in Camden as a means of creating opportunities for young Bangladeshi people. Several years later and following substantial growth in activities, United Sporting Club was formally constituted as a voluntary organisation (2019). From humble beginnings, United Sporting Club is now very popular multi sports club across London.
